Job summary

Warren CAT in Midland, TX is seeking a Rental Service Manager to direct, manage and coordinate rental service activities across multiple locations. You will oversee fleet maintenance, scheduling, parts inventory, and staff of up to 15 technicians to keep equipment ready for customers.

Responsibilities include setting service priorities, training team members, maintaining service records, and handling customer service calls with a focus on uptime and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or 5–10 years related experience.
• Specific CAT fleet training and five years with CAT product lines.
• Strong administrative and interpersonal skills for supervising up to 15 staff.
• Proficiency in reading technical documents and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain service records for the rental fleet.
• Set shop priorities to maximize fleet utilization and productivity.
• Order and receive spare parts; manage inventory levels.
• Allocate parts expense and shop labor to machines via work orders.
• Schedule maintenance intervals (PMs) and training.
• Train mechanics and schedule manufacturers technical training.
• Set up and maintain shop tools for service personnel.
• Handle customer service calls for equipment failures; escalate as needed.
• Decide on repair vs exchange on-site; coordinate with Rental Manager.
• Engage in customer training on daily maintenance and safe operation.
• Notify Rental Application Specialist before billing for damages.
• Establish maintenance and repair standards for each equipment piece.
• Direct supervision of up to 15 employees.
