Job summary

Warren CAT is seeking an Equipment Rental Specialist in Midland, TX to support rental operations and ensure a smooth customer experience. The role involves coordinating pickup and delivery, preparing quotes, and collaborating with sales, credit, and service teams to finalize rental agreements.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, problem-solving, and multi-tasking abilities, with basic PC skills and familiarity with rental software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 years’ experience in transportation or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving, customer service, and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret general business publications, journals, or regulations.
• Ability to write reports and procedures.
• Ability to present information to managers, clients, and the public.
• Ability to calculate discounts, commissions, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Complete rental transactions and coordinate pickup/delivery of rental units.
• Enter all required information accurately for rentals.
• Consult with customers to determine rental rates, draft contracts, and arrange transportation.
• Recommend products and services to customers.
• Prepare and assist with rental quotes.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure paperwork is complete.
• Create, edit, invoice, and close rental agreements using WCAT software.
• Compare inventory counts and resolve discrepancies.
• Provide solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Obtain credit PO requirements from internal departments as needed.
• Ensure COD and CAT Commercial accounts are collected during rental period.
• Transfer and track equipment between stores as needed.
• Follow check-in/check-out procedures and document rental outcomes.
• Instruct customers on safe use of equipment and maintain service quality.
• Respond promptly to inquiries and maintain customer satisfaction.
