Job summary

Milton Rents in Chicopee, MA is seeking a skilled Service Manager to lead service operations for our heavy equipment fleet. You will oversee parts inventory, maintenance scheduling, safety, and shipping/receiving while supervising staff, hiring, performance reviews, and policy implementation to boost efficiency.

You'll manage service records, warranty claims, shop organization, and fleet utilization, with a focus on strong customer service and tech-savvy solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Technical aptitude and willingness to learn new systems.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and order parts/shop supplies and budget.
• Manage and oversee inventory system and ensure the accuracy of inventory.
• Schedule and track maintenance intervals, ensuring timely service.
• Maintain service records for all equipment.
• Process and recover warranty claims promptly.
• Complete and enter work orders daily. Allocate parts and labor costs through a work order system.
• Provide damage estimates and invoices to customers and field sales reps timely and accurately.
• Log and track field service calls, ensuring timely response and customer communication.
• Ensure all rental machines have current inspections and certifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop and yard.
• Prioritize and manage repair tasks to maximize fleet utilization and productivity.
