You will manage a maintenance team, establish priorities, coordinate with Operations, and drive a preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and maximize productivity

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and fleet management.
• Prior supervisory or shop management experience strongly preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel trucks and heavy equipment.
• Experience with paving, milling, or asphalt maintenance equipment is highly desirable.
• Ability to supervise repairs and prioritize maintenance tasks.
• Proficient with computerized maintenance and work-order systems.
• Valid driver's license required.

Aufgaben

• Lead and manage daily operation of the maintenance shop and maintenance team.
• Prioritize repairs based on operational and production needs.
• Ensure trucks, paving equipment, construction equipment, trailers, and support vehicles are properly maintained and field-ready.
• Develop and manage a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and assist technicians with troubleshooting and repairs when needed.
• Manage work orders, maintenance records, inspections, service schedules, and equipment histories.
• Coordinate outside repairs and manage relationships with equipment dealers, parts suppliers, and service vendors.
• Communicate equipment status, downtime, and repair priorities with Operations and field leadership.
• Monitor equipment condition and provide recommendations regarding major repairs and future capital equipment needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional shop environment.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with company safety policies and applicable DOT and OSHA requirements.
• Track maintenance costs and identify opportunities to improve fleet reliability and operating efficiency.
• Build accountability within the maintenance department for quality, productivity, safety, and equipment uptime.
