Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals in the Hartford area is seeking a Service Manager to lead the repair and maintenance of company and customer equipment. You will organize the yard, schedule service calls, order parts, and train staff mechanics to ensure equipment is available on time.

Responsibilities include safety coaching, quality control, maintaining service records, and generating detailed reports on fleet status and open work orders.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Extensive repair & maintenance experience on self-propelled platforms and lifts.
• Knowledge of work planning, scheduling and supervisory activities.
• Strong understanding of equipment capabilities and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manages repair and maintenance of company-owned and customer equipment (yards, ready to rent, returned, down).
• Prepares work schedules and handles service calls to meet customer needs and ensure equipment availability.
• Orders parts to maintain supplies and trains staff mechanics.
• Establishes safety awareness and conducts quality control checks.
