Job summary

Kenco Logistics is hiring a Fleet Services (KFS) Service Manager to lead the service department, oversee technicians, and drive efficiency and quality across maintenance operations. You will implement best practices, manage safety, and collaborate with parts and service teams to ensure timely shop workloads.

The role requires 3-5 years in service/fleet environments, strong leadership, and a focus on cost control and training. Located in the Chattanooga area with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of related experience in a service environment.
• Background in fleet service operation or related field.
• Ability to develop and implement strategies to maximize employee performance and engagement.
• Experience aligning operations with safety and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Attain technician utilization at or above 85%.
• Maintain service billing efficiency ratio above 75%.
• Control technician labor cost at or below 28% of revenue.
• Ensure training targets are achieved and maintained.
• Assist in recruiting program for technicians.
• Evaluate technician performance against criteria.
• Oversee work order coordination between parts and service.
• Ensure timely completion of jobs and address safety issues.
• Assign daily workloads and duties.
• Maintain inventory for service vans.
• Ensure timely paperwork for prompt billing.
• Manage Preventative Maintenance program for technicians.
