Job summary

Kenco Logistics is seeking a Service Manager for Kenco Fleet Services to lead the service department, oversee technicians, and manage day-to-day shop operations with a focus on safety and quality procedures.

The role emphasizes maximizing technician utilization, achieving high billing efficiency, and controlling labor costs while developing staff and coordinating work between parts and service. Travel around 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of related experience in a service environment.
• Background in fleet service operation or related field.

Responsibilities

• Attain technician utilization at or above 85%.
• Maintain service billing efficiency above 75%.
• Control technician labor cost at or below 28% of revenue.
• Ensure that training targets are achieved and maintained in all areas where training expectations are established.
• Must abide by all Kenco Corporate Safety and Quality Procedures.
• Verify that best practices are operating in the shop location.
• Assist in implementing and sustaining a recruiting program for technicians.
• Evaluate the performance of each technician against established criteria.
• Develop and maintain best practices for work order coordination between parts and service.
• Verify that all jobs leaving the shop are completed in a timely manner and all safety issues are addressed.
• Make daily assignments of workloads and job duties.
• Assist in developing and maintaining inventory for service vans.
• Responsible for general cleanliness of the shop.
• Oversee completion of paperwork to facilitate prompt billing.
• Manage a Preventative Maintenance program for all technicians.
• Review and evaluate technician productivity sheets.
• Interact with customers and coworkers professionally.
