Job summary

Buyers Barricades, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Safety Manager to lead and continuously improve our fleet safety program across all locations, focusing on driver development, telematics coaching, and incident reduction.

This hands-on role partners with operations, safety, HR, and leadership to embed safe driving practices into daily work, with travel between branches in Dallas area and multiple Texas locations as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in fleet, transportation, driver, or operational safety
• Valid Texas driver's license and excellent driving record
• Ability to operate company vehicles and conduct driver evaluations
• Experience with Samsara or similar telematics systems
• Knowledge of defensive driving, inspections, load securement, deliveries, and fleet safety
• Strong data, communication, coaching, organization, and investigation skills
• Ability to analyze telematics data and identify safety trends
• Ability to work independently and across multiple locations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic recordkeeping

Responsibilities

• Lead the day‑to‑day implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of the fleet safety program across all locations.
• Develop, implement, and enforce fleet safety policies, procedures, checklists, and training materials.
• Establish, communicate, and reinforce driver-performance and vehicle-safety expectations company-wide.
• Serve as the primary fleet safety resource for branches, operations, drivers, and field employees.
• Identify operational risks and drive corrective action with leadership.
• Maintain visibility in branches, yards, warehouses, delivery operations, and jobsites across Buyers locations.
• Coordinate telematics data review, driver coaching, and safety communications.
• Lead incident investigations and follow-up actions.
