Job summary

Axis Energy Services, LLC is seeking a Transportation Safety Manager to oversee the region's fleet safety and DOT compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations. The role requires a transportation administration background and proactive, forward-thinking strategy on safety and fleet management.

The position focuses on IVMS system implementation, DOT audits, and Journey Management, coordinating with drivers and district management while reporting on safety performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety required.
• 6+ years HSE/DOT experience, preferably in oil field services.
• CSP/SMS/OSHA or PEC/Safeland certifications preferred.
• Experience with safety management systems like ISNetworld and LMS.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Spanish/English bilingual preferred.
• Strong integrity, confidentiality and accountability.
• Highly organized with multi-tasking ability.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good judgement and timely decision making.
• Ability to communicate with customers, vendors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain IVMS system and equipment.
• Oversee district driver management and vehicle transfers.
• Coordinate vehicle installs and de-installs.
• Receive service requests and follow up as needed.
• Lead DOT investigations following roadside inspections.
• Analyze IVMS data, coach drivers on behavior.
• Train district management and report IVMS findings.
• Maintain district JM risk profiles and performance.
