Job summary

JM Electronic Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Fleet Specialist in Pflugerville, TX. You will steward the fleet of service vans and trucks, ensuring safety, readiness, and efficient dispatch for field technicians.

Responsibilities include maintaining DOT records, implementing preventative maintenance, and coordinating with warehouse and dispatch to outfit vehicles with essential tools and safety gear. The role emphasizes cost awareness and reliable vehicle performance.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in fleet management or a high-level logistics role.
• Experience with service-based trade fleets (HVAC, Electrical, or Fire Safety) is a plus.
• Must be local to Pflugerville/North Austin area to oversee onsite vehicle status.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of company vehicles (service vans and trucks) to ensure safety and readiness for dispatch.
• Develop and oversee preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and avoid missed service calls.
• Maintain DOT records, registrations, inspections, and lead the fleet safety program.
• Coordinate with warehouse and dispatch to equip vehicles with required tools and gear.
• Monitor fuel use, repair costs, and GPS data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
