Job summary

Hertz is hiring a Car Control Clerk to manage daily tasks ensuring vehicles are rental-ready in status and location. The role blends office work with outdoor site duties using handheld devices to support registrations, inspections, and asset tracking.

The successful candidate will handle emails, reports, and meetings, while coordinating vehicle staging and movement. Prior asset control or logistics experience is a plus along with strong computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior asset control or logistics experience preferred.
• Proficient with computers/tablets; Excel and Outlook experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inspections, registrations and staging to keep vehicles rental-ready.
• Review fleet status and correct mis-coded cars.
• Organize vehicle staging on the lot for fast action based on status.
• Track non-rentable units and age of fleet; work with Pool Fleet Manager.
• Tag assets and receive vehicles in EAM; complete administrative duties.
• Coordinate transportation and car haulers; scan Non-Revenue moves.
