Job summary

Hertz is seeking a Fleet Specialist to ensure vehicles are rental ready by coordinating inspections, registrations and staging. The role spans office and outdoor work, handling emails, reports, and meetings while using handheld devices to scan assets.

The position requires high school diploma, basic IT skills, and familiarity with Excel/Outlook. Prior car rental or asset control experience is a plus; occasional night or weekend scheduling may apply.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work with computers/tablets.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook).
• Able to navigate GPS mapping apps and follow directions.
• High school diploma preferred; car rental or asset control experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities to make vehicles rental/sale ready, including inspections and registrations.
• Review site variances to resolve mis-coded cars.
• Organize vehicle staging on lot for quick action based on status.
• Monitor non-rentable units and fleet levels with the Pool Fleet Manager.
• Ensure all vehicles have Quadrant coding and monitor aging vehicles.
• Inventory vehicles and manage asset control points.
• Tag incoming fleet with asset tags and enter data in EAM.
• Handle administrative duties and report reviewing tasks.
• Coordinate transportation and car haulers, including Non-Revenue moves.
