Job summary

The Hertz Corporation seeks a Fleet Specialist who will ensure vehicles are rental-ready and properly tracked across site operations in Birmingham. You will handle registrations, staging, and daily inventory management, with time split between office work and outdoor tasks using handheld devices.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, experience in car rental or logistics, and strong computer skills including Excel and Outlook.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
Experience in car rental, asset control, or logistics preferred.
Proficiency with computers/tablets and MS Office; GPS mapping familiarity.

Responsibilities

Coordinate activities to make vehicles rental-ready (inspections, registrations, staging).
Review site VAW variance and resolve improper coding.
Organize vehicle staging on lot for quick action; scan with mobile devices.
Review non-rentable units and fleet levels; collaborate with Pool Fleet Manager.
Mark vehicles with Quadrant system and monitor aging via reports.
Inventory vehicles and monitor asset control points; update EAM with new assets.
Handle administrative duties: data entry, emails, reports, and conference calls.
Coordinate transportation and car haulers; scan Non-Revenue moves.
