Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Customer Service Representative for the private fleet administrative functions. You will plan, track, trace, and report on inbound and outbound dedicated loads, coordinate with the on-site team to ensure on-time store deliveries, optimize tractor utilization, and support inbound reverse logistics and driver safety and compliance.

This role emphasizes planning and reporting activities, problem solving with drivers, and ensuring documentation accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or logistics preferred, or 1–2 years in transportation operations.
• 1–2 years of onsite driver dispatch experience preferred.
• 1 year of Driver Dispatch Management System experience (McLeod, TMW, Telogis, Dispatch Tracks, AS400).
• Proficient communication, interpersonal problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of dedicated transportation operations and driver logs/hours of service.

Responsibilities

• Plans and assigns outbound, vendor backhaul, and OVD loads.
• Plans rolltainer sweeps and dunnage consolidations.
• Reports on-time load pickup and on-time store delivery.
• Reports BOL pickup and tractor utilization.
• Resolves load issues and paperwork.
