Job summary

ONE Gas, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Operations support professional in Austin, TX to ensure asset availability, reliability, safety, regulatory compliance and appropriate repairs for fleet assets.

The role involves upfitting vehicles, coordinating with operations, managing vendors, and producing reports on maintenance, budgets and lifecycle analysis. Strong English communication and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of relevant professional experience; minimum one year required.
• Experience with garage operations and vendor management.
• Working knowledge of automotive and/or special equipment repair and repairs to capital tools and CNG fill stations.
• Working knowledge of automotive paint and body repair.
• Experience with budgeting processes and preparing reports and correspondence.
• Fluent reading/writing in English.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, acquisition and upfitting of fleet assets for a business division.
• Partner with Operations management to assess needs and adequacy of current vehicles and equipment.
• Collaborate with employees and third parties in performing fleet installations, maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment.
• Assist with supplier selection, vendors, and contractors; provide input on supplier performance.
• Provide information to employees regarding vehicle and equipment capabilities, operations, and maintenance.
• Ensure company standards are maintained by garages and dealerships performing repairs.
• Compile and verify information including inspection/maintenance reports, repair analyses, budget information and account classifications.
• Research, compile, and compose correspondence using multiple systems.
• Review lifecycle information to determine asset viability.
• Maintain regular attendance and perform additional duties as assigned.
