Job summary

Warren Transport Inc. is seeking a Fleet Manager to join our operations team in Waterloo, IA. You will own a fleet of independent drivers, focus on safety, profitability, and driver retention, and coordinate loads from dispatch to delivery.

This role emphasizes relationship-building, problem-solving, and clear communication, with a direct impact on fleet performance and customer satisfaction. Onsite, full-time position with a base plus incentive structure.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
Ability to build trust, solve problems, and take ownership.
Strong communication and relationship-building with drivers.

Responsibilities

Manage and coach a fleet of drivers with focus on safety, service, retention, and profitability.
Build relationships with contractors and become their go-to resource.
Own each load from dispatch through delivery.
Communicate load expectations, changes, and customer requirements.
Work with Load Planning to identify and sell load opportunities to drivers.
Monitor metrics like on-time delivery, miles, revenue, safety, and turnover.
Address DOT and safety-related issues and ensure compliance.
Advocate for drivers and coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues.
