Job summary

City of Ann Arbor seeks an on-site Fleet Services Inventory Clerk to maintain an organized inventory of vehicles, parts, tools and supplies. You will deliver and retrieve items to support repairs and process invoices in the city’s accounting system. You must help plan maintenance and ensure accurate cost-center coding for approvals.

Requires a CDL eligibility within six months and FMCSA/DOT drug/alcohol compliance. A high school diploma and CMMS experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
• 1 year of experience in purchasing and/or parts inventory.
• 1 year of experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Responsibilities

• Maintain an effective inventory system for Fleet Services, including machines, equipment, parts, tools, supplies, fuel and services.
• Deliver and retrieve vehicles, parts, and other materials to support timely repairs of the City fleet.
• Process packing slips, invoices, and reconcile entries in the City’s financial software; code invoices to cost centers for approval.
• Assist in planning fleet maintenance activities and maintain inventory of items needed to perform this work.
• Ensure compliance with FMCSA/DOT drug and alcohol testing regulations; obtain CDL within six months of hire.
