Job summary

Priority Waste Resources, headquartered in Michigan, is seeking a Parts Runner in Auburn Hills to manage inventory, order and receive parts, and support fleet maintenance. You will ensure technicians have the materials needed to perform repairs efficiently and safely.

The role requires accurate handling of parts, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Overtime or weekend work may be necessary as part of a collaborative, safety-conscious team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of inventory, warehouse, or parts experience preferred.
• Experience with fleet or heavy equipment parts preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency required.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, stoop, and lift throughout shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Overtime or weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate inventory of parts, tools, fluids, tires, and shop supplies.
• Issues parts to technicians and records transactions in maintenance system.
• Orders parts and shop supplies from approved vendors to maintain proper stock levels.
• Receives shipments, verifies packing slips, and inspects for damage.
• Processes returns, cores, and warranty claims.
• Performs routine cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Organizes and maintains a clean and orderly parts room.
• Ensures proper storage and labeling of materials.
• Maintains compliance with company safety policies.
• Supports maintenance team with parts research and vendor communication.
• Assists with general shop organization as needed.
