Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin, Marketing or Transportation/Logistics preferred.
• Two to three years of fleet management or transportation experience in truckload.
• Six months to one year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and management abilities; computer terminal and satellite communications proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships addressing home time, payroll, utilities, equipment issues and more.
• Partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads by origin, destination, and freight type.
• Understand and support customer dynamics and values to improve Werner's service.
• Interface with billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance and vendors.
• Work with Logistics Managers to maintain a full board of drivers.
• Perform related duties as assigned by the Dedicated Logistics Manager.
• Ensure timely attendance per the scheduled shift.
