Job summary

Medline is seeking a Fleet/Dispatch Manager to oversee the MedTrans fleet, ensuring safe operation, proper maintenance, scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and drivers, and DOT compliance.

You will optimize routes, train drivers, recruit staff, and lead day-to-day activities while enforcing company policies and safety standards. This role offers growth within a global healthcare company and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Experience managing and dispatching drivers using routing software.
• At least 2 years coaching, mentoring and training staff.
• Intermediate knowledge of Transportation Costing and Motor Carrier Operations.
• Basic Excel/PowerPoint/Word skills as described in Knowledge / Skills / Abilities section.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe and efficient operation of the MedTrans fleet.
• Optimize daily routes and activities based on workloads and customer orders.
• Ensure drivers are trained per MedTrans requirements.
• Maintain equipment per vehicle maintenance policy.
• Recruit, hire, train and discipline drivers.
• Lead daily meetings and provide guidance to staff.
