Job summary

Medline Industries, LP is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee the safe and efficient operation of the MedTrans fleet, including maintenance, scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and drivers.

You will ensure compliance with DOT and company regulations, optimize routes, train drivers, and lead daily activities of staff, directing work, providing guidance on complex issues and coordinating with operations to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience managing and dispatching drivers and using routing software.
At least 2 years coaching, mentoring and training staff.
Knowledge of Transportation Costing and Motor Carrier Operations.
Basic Microsoft Excel skills; familiarity with PowerPoint and Word.
Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Oversee route optimization and daily fleet activities.
Ensure drivers are trained according to MedTrans requirements.
Maintain equipment per policy and regulatory standards.
Recruit, hire, train and discipline drivers; conduct regular DOT-aligned meetings.
Lead day-to-day activities and guide staff on complex tasks.
