Job summary

Medline Industries, LP is seeking a Transportation Supervisor (Project Management) to oversee the safe and efficient operation of the MedTrans fleet, including maintenance, scheduling, and dispatching of vehicles and drivers, ensuring compliance with DOT and company regulations.

Responsibilities include optimizing routes, training drivers, maintaining equipment per policy, recruiting and mentoring staff, and leading daily activities while providing guidance on complex issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience managing and dispatching drivers and use of routing software.
• At least 2 years of experience coaching, mentoring and training staff.
• Intermediate knowledge of Transportation Costing and Motor Carrier Operations.

Responsibilities

• Optimize daily routes and activities based on branch and fleet workloads.
• Ensure all drivers are properly trained according to MedTrans requirements.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained in accordance with the MedTrans vehicle maintenance policy.
• Recruit, hire, train and discipline all drivers.
• Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with drivers as required by DOT and/or company policy.
• Lead day-to-day activities of employees and provide technical guidance on more complex issues.
