Job summary

Medline Industries, Inc. oversees the safe and efficient operation of the MedTrans fleet, including scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and drivers, while ensuring compliance with DOT and company regulations.

Responsibilities include optimizing routes, training drivers, maintaining equipment, recruiting and mentoring staff, and leading daily activities with strong supervision and guidance.

Qualifications

• Experience managing and dispatching drivers with routing software.
• At least 2 years coaching, mentoring and training staff.
• Intermediate knowledge of Transportation Costing and Motor Carrier Operations.
• Basic level skills in Excel for currency formatting, etc.
• Basic level skills in PowerPoint for slides.
• Basic level skills in Word for document formatting.

Responsibilities

• Optimize daily routes and activities based on workloads and available order information.
• Ensure all drivers are properly trained.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained per policy.
• Recruit, hire, train and discipline drivers; conduct DOT-mandated meetings.
• Lead day-to-day activities of employees and provide guidance on complex issues.
