Job summary

Crete Carrier Corporation is seeking a supervisor to manage a designated fleet of drivers and ensure safety, productivity, and asset utilization. You will coach, plan, and assign work while addressing driver issues and maintaining service quality.

The role requires coordinating dispatches, routing drivers per company policies, and monitoring hours to meet regulatory requirements, with travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs supervisory responsibilities, as needed, to effectively manage drivers including coaching, planning, assigning work, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
• Dispatches drivers based on available equipment and load criteria.
• Routes drivers to specific destinations as required by Company policies.
• Balances time off requests made by drivers with the operational need to move freight.
• Communicates with drivers to optimize driver productivity and reduce driver turnover.
• Monitors driver logbook hours to comply with Department of Transportation regulations.
• Tracks all loads from the time of dispatch until deliver and resolves any service issues.
• Travels as needed.
• Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with others.
• Receives and carries out instructions.
• Manages regular and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned
