Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires 2-5 years of experience in transportation/trucking.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manages drivers’ activities and ensures they meet client expectations and Hogan policies.
• Identifies and addresses driver performance issues through coaching and discipline as needed.
• Interviews prospective drivers and makes hiring recommendations.
• Conducts 30- and 60-day driver performance reviews.
• Coaches, trains, and reinforces drivers on customer satisfaction, safety, and Hogan policies.
• Coordinates customer services including schedules to maximize profits.
• Schedules and directs drivers to locations according to customer requests or needs.
• Monitors driver performance and daily activities.
• Prepares and monitors daily work and run schedules.
• Advises drivers of traffic problems and creates contingency plans to meet client needs.
• Manages fleet and drivers for on-time pickups, routing, and cost control.
• Ensures a safe working environment and compliance with safety laws.
• Ensures drivers are trained and understand company expectations.
• Performs daily accounting of all assigned trucks and drivers.
• Interacts with drivers daily to answer questions and ensure timely deliveries.
• Works to reduce turnover and promote workforce longevity.
• Ensures payroll is accurate and submitted timely.
• Other duties as assigned.
