Job summary

Hogan Transportation is seeking a Fleet Manager to lead operational activities for drivers assigned to customer accounts, ensuring safe, timely deliveries and outstanding service. The role acts as the client liaison to meet expectations and solve employee-related issues.

Responsibilities include coaching drivers, conducting reviews, hiring input, and coordinating schedules to maximize profits while maintaining safety compliance and high standards for client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, associate degree preferred.
• 2–5 years experience in the transportation/trucking industry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manages drivers’ activities and ensures drivers meet Hogan expectations and policies.
• Identifies and addresses driver performance issues through coaching and discipline.
• Interviews prospective drivers and makes recommendations on hiring decisions.
• Conducts 30- and 60-day driver performance reviews.
• Coaches, trains, and reinforces drivers on customer satisfaction, Hogan policies, and safety.
• Coordinates services to maximize profits and schedules to meet client requests.
• Monitors drivers’ performance and activities.
• Prepares and monitors daily work and run schedules.
• Advises drivers of traffic problems and creates contingency plans.
