Job summary

The City of Englewood is seeking a Fleet Services Supervisor to lead the vehicle and equipment maintenance operations within Public Works. The role focuses on high-quality service, safety, and compliance with state and city requirements, while coordinating with partner agencies.

You will manage preventative maintenance programs, budget administration, and staffing, including training, evaluations, and contract oversight. This position may require on-call duties and strong vendor relations.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of fleet management principles and best practices.
• Strong budgeting and reporting skills.
• Experience supervising a maintenance team and coordinating with HR.
• Familiarity with fleet management software and fuel programs.

Responsibilities

• Organize, plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, and review work of fleet staff.
• Coordinate with intergovernmental partners for vehicle maintenance agreements.
• Implement preventative maintenance programs and optimize cost-effective services.
• Oversee hiring, coaching, evaluations, and performance discipline.
• Develop goals and monitor service levels; prepare reports as needed.
• Ensure safety training and PPE usage for all staff.
