Job summary

The Metropolitan District seeks a skilled crew leader to oversee vehicle and equipment maintenance for a wide range of district assets. You will direct a small maintenance crew, plan repairs, and ensure safe, timely servicing of trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, and related power tools.

You will make technical maintenance decisions, supervise mechanics, maintain emission testing programs, and ensure compliance with safety rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus six years of vehicle/equipment maintenance experience including lead capacity.
• Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License sub-classification A or B with air brake endorsement.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle and equipment overhaul, repair methods and materials.

Responsibilities

• Oversee repairs and overhauls on district vehicles and equipment.
• Identify malfunctions and determine corrective actions; test after repairs.
• Direct a small work crew and ensure safe, efficient maintenance.
• Maintain emission-testing program, records, and calibration of analyzers.
