Job summary

Cities, Inc. in Florida is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily fleet maintenance operations, supervise mechanics, and ensure safe, reliable city vehicles and equipment.

You will manage preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and work order processes to maximize fleet availability. The role requires strong leadership, experience with fleet management software, and a focus on safety, process improvement, and customer service to City departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical leadership in Automotive/Diesel preferred.
• Five years of automotive, diesel, heavy equipment repair, or fleet maintenance experience.
• Valid Florida driver's license with clean record within 30 days of employment.
• Experience using fleet management software.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certifications within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs the activities of assigned staff; schedules, assigns work, and monitors progress.
• Oversees daily fleet shop operations including scheduling, assignments, and productivity.
• Performs hands-on diagnostic, repair and maintenance work on City vehicles and equipment as a working supervisor.
• Manages fleet records, work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, and parts usage.
• Coordinates emergency repairs and ensures repairs comply with safety procedures.
• Maintains fleet availability by minimizing downtime and improving repair turnaround times.
