Job summary

Deer Valley Resort is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance and lifecycle management of the resort’s vehicle and equipment fleet. You will guide the Fleet Maintenance team, manage budgets and vendor partnerships, and ensure safe, efficient operations across departments.

You will oversee preventative maintenance, asset planning, inventory control, and cross-department coordination while promoting safety standards and continuous technical development.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in fleet or heavy equipment maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of gas, diesel, tracked and wheeled vehicles.
• Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical and powertrain systems.
• Experience leading maintenance teams and shop coordination.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with OSHA, MSDS and Lockout/Tagout safety.
• Proficient in maintenance record-keeping systems.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to operate snowmobiles and heavy equipment; DOT endorsements if required.
• DOT recordkeeping and driver training knowledge preferred.
• Ability to work in varying weather and a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fleet operations and preventive maintenance programs.
• Manage daily shop operations and prioritize work.
• Monitor vehicle needs across departments and assign resources.
• Plan replacements, turnover, and asset disposal.
• Ensure tooling and equipment are maintained and secure.
• Forecast budgets and manage costs for fleet.
• Procure vehicles and manage parts inventory.
• Build relationships with vendors for reliable support.
• Lead and mentor the fleet maintenance team; oversee scheduling and performance.
• Coordinate safety, compliance, and cross-department needs; support training.
