Job summary

Bear Valley Mountain Resort is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Shop Manager to lead the shop operations, oversee the fleet, and ensure safe, reliable equipment across all departments.

You will manage preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and service schedules, supervise staff, and participate in budgeting and strategic planning as a member of the leadership team. Strong leadership, hands-on mechanical expertise, and compliance with OSHA and CARB are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment and diesel mechanic experience.
• Proven leadership and management ability.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• CA driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise vehicle and equipment use to ensure safety and reliability.
• Oversee maintenance, repairs, inspections, and service schedules.
• Maintain training logs and lead weekly safety meetings.
• Manage department payroll and staffing.
• Oversee budgeting and cost controls for the shop.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, CARB, and other safety laws.
• Maintain records: vehicle logs, registrations, inspections.
