U.S. Lumber is hiring a Transportation Supervisor to lead a professional driving team delivering building materials across PA, MD, and WV. The role reports to the Altoona/Claysburg area and collaborates with branch leadership to meet business goals.

You will guide dispatch, oversee safety and compliance, and manage expenses while maintaining high service quality for customers and internal teams.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of leadership experience in distribution or building materials.
• 2 years of shipping, coordinating regional or local deliveries.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and basic math/analytical skills.

Mansioni

• Provide leadership to commercial drivers to develop a culture of customer service and reliable performance.
• Monitor driver performance and ensure safety and adherence to company policies.
• Schedule and manage preventive maintenance to maximize fleet uptime.
• Coordinate dispatch resources and optimize backhaul opportunities.
• Ensure DOT compliance, driver qualification files, inspections, and safety training.
• Review invoices and travel/transport expenses for accuracy and control.
