Job summary

G|M Business Interiors in southern California is seeking a Fleet Manager to lead maintenance, safety, and cost-efficient fleet operations for trucks, vans, trailers, and forklifts.

You will drive compliance with CHP, DMV, DOT, FMCSA and Cal/OSHA, manage budgets and procurement, develop preventive maintenance, vendor contracts, and fleet KPI reporting to keep service levels high.

This role supports an ESOP-owned culture and offers opportunities for growth within a premier office furniture firm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid California driver license with clean driving record.
• 5+ years fleet management experience with commercial vehicles and forklifts; compliance with regulations.
• Knowledge of transportation, maintenance and safety regulations (federal and CA).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety initiatives and cultivate accountability.
• Manage fleet policies and SOPs; oversee preventive maintenance.
• Oversee CHP BIT, DMV, DOT, FMCSA, OSHA and Cal/OSHA compliance.
• Manage vehicle registrations, insurance, permits and licensing.
• Lead accident investigations and corrective actions.
• Manage telematics, GPS and fuel utilization programs.
• Develop fleet replacement strategies and capital plans.
• Direct vendor sourcing, budgeting, and contract administration.
• Administer vehicle assignment and utilization programs.
• Maintain fleet KPI dashboards and reporting, including weekly status of Fleet Performance.
