Job summary

G|M Business Interiors, a premier southern California dealer for Miller Knoll, seeks a Fleet Manager to lead maintenance, budgeting, and compliance across box trucks, vans, trailers, and forklifts. You will build a culture focused on safety, service, and cost efficiency while coordinating procurement and lifecycle planning for the fleet.

Responsibilities include overseeing preventive maintenance, vehicle registrations, insurance, and driver safety, plus driving KPIs and cost per mile

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years fleet management experience with commercial vehicles and forklifts.
• Knowledgeable regarding transportation, maintenance and safety regulations (federal and California).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Effective communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel to multiple locations and respond promptly to urgent issues.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety initiatives and standards that cultivate accountability and prevent incidents.
• Manage preventive maintenance and repair programs.
• Oversee CHP BIT, DMV, DOT, FMCSA, OSHA and Cal/OSHA compliance.
• Manage vehicle registrations, insurance, permits and licensing.
• Lead accident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Manage telematics, GPS and fuel utilization programs.
• Develop fleet replacement strategies and capital plans.
• Direct vendor sourcing, budgeting, and contract administration.
• Administer vehicle assignment and utilization programs.
• Maintain fleet KPI dashboards and reporting, including weekly status of Fleet Performance.
