Job summary

Werner Enterprises seeks a Fleet Manager to build and maintain driver relationships, optimize loads, and uphold service standards across our operations. You will coordinate with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers, interface with billing, safety, payroll, and maintenance, and help keep a full driver board.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or 2–3 years in fleet/transportation with supervisory experience and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Admin, Marketing or Transportation/Logistics.
• 2–3 years of fleet management or transportation experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience of 6–12 months preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships and meet driver needs such as home time, payroll, and equipment issues.
• Partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize loads based on origin, destination, freight type, and miles.
• Interface with billing, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance and other departments to ensure service quality.
• Work with managers to maintain a full board of drivers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Dedicated Logistics Manager.
• Maintain timely attendance per shift schedule.
