Job summary

Border States, located in Chantilly, VA, seeks a Fleet Supervisor to lead safe, efficient fleet operations, driver coaching, routing, and dispatch. This role emphasizes maintenance oversight, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective delivery planning.

The ideal candidate has strong fleet management experience, CDL knowledge, and proficiency with fleet management systems. The position is in-person at our Chantilly location with competitive benefits and employee-ownership culture.

Qualifications

• Two-year business/trade degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum three years of transportation/fleet management experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and safe operations of delivery vehicles, trailers, and forklifts.
• Coach drivers on safe driving practices and ensure training compliance.
• Coordinate with warehouse leaders on routes, scheduling, and dispatch strategies.
• Maintain maintenance records and oversee contracted maintenance.
• Analyze delivery services to optimize cost and choose between in-house vs. carrier delivery.
• Develop relationships with third-party carriers and vendor partners.
