Job summary

Border States Industries, Inc. is looking for a Fleet Supervisor to lead the safe and efficient operations of the Border States fleet, guiding driver performance, routing and dispatch, on-time deliveries, and maintenance of fleet assets.

Qualifications

• Two-year business/trade degree preferred or the equivalent in work experience.
• Minimum three years of prior transportation/fleet management supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred.
• Experience with fleet technologies including ELD/DVIR, route optimization, and FMS.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and safe operations of delivery vehicles, forklifts, and trailers in compliance with policies and standards.
• Ensure drivers meet licensing/medical requirements (CDL if applicable) and maintain driver qualification records.
• Coach drivers on safe driving performance and provide required training.
• Oversee route optimization, dispatch, and scheduling to improve miles, capacity and delivery times.
• Maintain maintenance records and supervise contracted maintenance for fleet assets.
• Analyze delivery services to optimize cost and decide when to use Border States fleet vs external carriers.
• Maintain relations with third-party carriers and vendor partners; manage inbound freight schedules.
• Oversee fleet assets deployed at customer sites and related logistics.

Education

Two-year business/trade degree preferred or equivalent experience
