Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to supervise drivers, ensure safe and compliant deliveries, and support DOT log reviews. You will coordinate scheduling, training, and payroll-related tasks within the OpCo framework.

Responsibilities include monitoring safety practices, maintaining driver records, and assisting with day‑to‑day transportation operations to optimize efficiency and service levels.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years in transportation or related field with knowledge of DOT and safety regulations.
• Experience operating computerized fleet management systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervises associates including staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution.
• Assists in scheduling and ensures timely deliveries and pickups; rides with drivers for training/evaluation.
• Assists Transportation/Operations Manager with day-to-day administration of transportation functions and payroll reviews.
• Monitors vehicle safety, equipment usage, seat belts and safe lifting practices; attends safety meetings.
• Maintains driver-related paperwork such as logs, DVIRs, invoices, reports and DOT documentation.
• Keeps track of licenses, tickets, accidents, and other risk data for drivers.
• Oversees maintenance of trucks, tractors, and trailers via post-trip inspections.
• Works to minimize operating expenses and ensure efficient routing of deliveries.
