Job summary

Werner Enterprises is seeking a fleet management professional to grow driver relationships and optimize loads while aligning with customer and Werner objectives. You will collaborate across billing, risk, safety, and operations to maintain a full driver roster and ensure timely attendance.

The role emphasizes supervisory readiness, organizational strength, and experience with computer terminals and satellite systems, supporting efficient transportation operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Admin, Marketing or Transportation/Logistics preferred.
• Six months to one year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, proven management ability, and skill in operating a computer terminal and satellite communications system required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships through understanding and meeting driver needs, including home time, payroll, utility, equipment breakdowns, logging violations, and more.
• Partner with the Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads based on origin, destination, freight type, miles, stops and driver needs.
• Understand and adhere to customer dynamics service expectations, goals, and Werner's initiatives to improve value for the Customer and Werner.
• Interface with billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance and external vendors.
• Work with the Dedicated Logistics Manager and/or Operations Manager to fill and maintain a full board of drivers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Dedicated Logistics Manager.
• Timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift.
