Job summary

Werner Enterprises in Texas is seeking a Fleet Manager/Logistics Coordinator to build and maintain driver relationships while coordinating with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize loads based on origin, destination, freight type, miles, and stops.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or transportation/logistics and 2–3 years of fleet management experience, with 6 months to 1 year of supervisory exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Admin, Marketing or Transportation/Logistics (preferred).
• 2–3 years of fleet management or transportation experience in truckload industry (preferred).
• 6 months to 1 year of supervisory experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships through understanding and meeting driver needs (home time, payroll, etc.).
• Partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads.
• Understand and adhere to customer dynamics service expectations and Werner goals.
• Interface with departments such as billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance, and external vendors.
• Work with Dedicated Logistics Manager/Operations Manager to fill and maintain a full board of drivers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Dedicated Logistics Manager.
• Timely attendance as scheduled by supervisory personnel.
