Job summary

Werner Enterprises is seeking a Logistics Supervisor in Alabama to build strong driver relationships and optimize loads. You will coordinate with multiple teams to meet home time, payroll and equipment needs while ensuring compliance with customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin, Marketing or Transportation/Logistics; 2–3 years fleet management/transportation experience preferred.
• Six months to one year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and management skills; experience operating a computer terminal and satellite communications system.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships to meet home time, payroll, utility, equipment issues, and other needs.
• Partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads based on origin, destination, freight type, miles, stops.
• Understand and align with customer dynamics, service expectations, goals and Werner’s value.
• Interface with billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance and external vendors.
• Work with the Dedicated Logistics Manager and Operations Manager to maintain a full board of drivers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Dedicated Logistics Manager and maintain timely attendance.
