Job summary

Petroleum distribution seeks a Fleet Manager in San Antonio to oversee the compliant operation of the fleet and transportation assets. You will manage maintenance, DOT/EPA records, licenses, registrations, and audit readiness to maximize uptime and control costs.

Responsibilities include keeping SOPs, coordinating maintenance, tracking permits, and supervising drivers with HR for staffing and performance. A proactive, detail-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with DOT, FMCSA, and EPA vehicle requirements.
• Knowledge of permits: HAZMAT, IRP, IFTA, UCR.
• Ability to maintain licenses, registrations, and insurance renewals.
• Experience documenting maintenance and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Maintain maintenance records, inspection logs, and repair history for all vehicles and trailers.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and track compliance.
• Monitor vehicle telematics and GPS for route adherence and equipment performance.
• Schedule and document annual DOT vehicle inspections.
• Manage approved repair vendors and control maintenance and repair costs.
• Recruit, interview, and hire qualified drivers in coordination with HR.
