Job summary

SJRC Texas is seeking a Fleet Manager to support maintenance, repair and tracking of vehicles and facility assets. The role combines hands-on field work with administrative tasks to keep assets safe, reliable, and compliant.

The ideal candidate has experience in fleet or facilities maintenance, knows DOT regulations, and can manage records using an asset management system. A valid Texas driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in facilities or fleet maintenance.
• Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge for fleet vehicles and building systems.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and digital records.
• Strong organizational skills and reliability.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or in a team.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate fleet vehicles.
• Comfort with hands-on field work and administrative tasks in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inspections, maintenance and repairs of SJRC fleet vehicles and assets.
• Respond to urgent fleet issues including breakdowns and towing coordination.
• Ensure DOT and other regulations compliance for fleet vehicles.
• Maintain asset inventory, service history and lifecycle planning.
• Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs or inspections.
• Monitor vendor performance and track service agreements.
• Order and stock maintenance parts; keep tools and spaces organized.
• Support safety procedures and environmental/facility compliance.
