Job summary

Major Contracting is seeking a disciplined Fleet Logistics & Compliance Manager to direct scheduling, maintenance, and regulatory lifecycle tracking of our vehicle portfolio. You will be the operational hub for our rolling stock across passenger vehicles, light trucks, CDL trucks, and trailers.

Working with the Equipment Manager, you will maximize uptime, lead internal mechanics, and negotiate vendor frameworks to minimize downtime while ensuring DOT/OSHA/EPA compliance and meticulous fleet

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of verified fleet or heavy-equipment management experience.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices and diagnostics.
• Proficiency with CMMS and MS Office.
• Experience controlling operating budgets and negotiating vendor agreements.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Strategic fleet organization and optimization across trucks and trailers.
• Schedule preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
• Supervise mechanics, assign daily tasks and ensure timely maintenance workflows.
• Track asset availability and coordinate with project managers to minimize downtime.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain fleet records, registrations, and permits.
• Lead vendor relationships and manage parts procurement to reduce costs.
