Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. in Fresno, CA is hiring a Maintenance Shop Technician A to perform repairs on diesel and non-diesel trucks, including chassis, hydraulics, brakes, engines, HVAC and electrical systems.

Under supervision, you’ll diagnose multi-system issues, conduct inspections with scan tools, and execute complex repairs on high‑tech fleet equipment. A valid driver's license and CDL B are preferred, with opportunities for training and advancement within a stable company.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience working on heavy-duty trucks.
• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1–T8) are a plus but not required.
• CDL B preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of chassis, powertrain, Brakes, HVAC and suspension systems for repairs.
• Diagnose and repair diesel and non-diesel equipment on-site and on the road.
• Utilize scan tools to diagnose electrical concerns and perform line welding as needed.
• Complete company training programs and adhere to safety and quality standards.
