Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel fleet equipment.

You will work on chassis, refuse bodies, air brake systems, engine diagnostics, HVAC, and suspension components, with on‑site and road service. Join a team that supports drivers, uses state‑of‑the‑art equipment, and offers strong career growth across a stable, community‑facing industry.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy‑duty trucks.
• Ability to diagnose multi‑system issues with sound technical judgment.
• Inspections and repairs on heavy truck systems with some supervision.
• LNG and/or CNG experience is a plus but not required.
• Valid Class B CDL or higher is preferred; at minimum a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose multi‑system issues and perform complex repairs on site and on the road.
• Repair and maintain chassis components, engines, transmissions, brakes and suspensions.
• Diagnose and service air brake and hydraulic systems.
• Perform diagnostics using scan tools and test equipment.
• Complete company training programs and follow safety procedures.
• Collaborate with team to ensure reliable, safe vehicle operation.
