Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis components, refuse bodies, hydraulic/electrical systems, air brakes, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• Past experience with or knowledge of maintenance on trucks, aircraft, or ships.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge and proficiency in vehicle components and systems for preventative and repair maintenance on-site or on the road.
• Performs chassis, refuse body, and hydraulic/electrical system maintenance and repairs.
• Performs line maintenance welding and fabrication as needed.
• Provides safe road service and ensures equipment is returned to operation efficiently.
