Job summary

Via Mobility Services in Boulder, CO seeks a Lead Mechanic to oversee fleet maintenance and supervise a team of mechanics. The role involves tune-ups, diagnostics, DOT inspections, and various repairs to keep the fleet running smoothly.

We offer opportunities for ASE certifications, a competitive hourly wage, and benefits. Schedule is Mon-Fri, 4:00am–12:30pm, with a starting pay of $36.50–$39.50 per hour. This is a full-time position based in Boulder.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• 10+ years of mechanical experience in gas and diesel repairs or ASE Certification.
• Associates Degree in Automotive Technology or formal 2-year apprenticeship program AND 5+ years of mechanic experience in lieu of 10+ years' experience.
• Must obtain ASE Certification within 1 year of employment.
• Possess experience in all phases of vehicle maintenance.
• Strong background in diagnostics.
• Possess a Driver's License that has been continually valid for at least the past two (2) years.
• Must pass and maintain DOT physical, random drug testing, and ongoing Motor Vehicle Records checks.
• Must be able to perform physical requirements of the position.
• Must possess own tools.

Responsibilities

• Order parts for the fleet you oversee.
• Perform vehicle tune-ups and diagnostic repair.
• Perform DOT inspections and brake, suspension, electrical repairs, and HVAC repairs.
• Adjust wheelchair lifts as needed.
• Supervise and motivate other Mechanics.
