Job summary

SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) is hiring Fleet Mechanics to maintain a fleet of mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, and other heavy equipment. The role emphasizes safety, quality repairs, and teamwork with on-the-job training for newcomers.

You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and rebuild major components while collaborating with the operations team to minimize downtime and ensure on-time deliveries. CDL is preferred and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational or technical certification in diesel engine repair is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and stay updated on diesel technology and repair techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on mixer trucks and heavy equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repairs.
• Rebuild or replace major components such as engine heads, blocks, starters, and transmissions.
• Collaborate with operations to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime.
• Maintain safety policies and accurate records of work performed.
