Job summary

SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to maintain our diesel-powered mixer trucks and heavy equipment across our Tennessee operations. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to keep our fleet safe and productive.

We offer on-the-job training for newcomers, a supportive team, and competitive pay with benefits. CDL is preferred but not required; willingness to work variable shifts is expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in mixer trucks and heavy equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repairs.
• Rebuild/repair major components such as engines, starters, and transmissions.
• Schedule maintenance with operations to minimize downtime.
• Adhere to safety policies in workshop and on job sites.
• Keep maintenance records in company systems.
• Stay updated on diesel engine tech and repair techniques.
